Hongkie Kopitiam

More and more restaurants, coffee houses and food corners are occupying E-Gate lately. This is a place where it would be pack during weekends or even weekdays. Why shouldn't it? You can have gathering there, chit-chatting all the way through midnight, some equipped with Wifi Zone [can do blogging:)], and most important...yeah...having nice and delicious food!=)

Well, I tried out Hongkie Kopitiam (Hong Kong Style Restaurant) twice. The first time was a disaster coz the food I ordered sux but the second time around, I had my stomach full with a happy smile on my face:)

Seafood Cheese Baked Noodle. It's an excellent dish....comes with my favourite seafood PRAWN! *Slurp..Slurp*. Costed RM9.50++

Chicken Wings Rice Set. This is a so-so dish. Both the rice and chicken wings tasted a bit flat. It comes with mushroom soup, drink and dessert (a small scoop of ice-cream). Can't really remember the price but it's around RM14.00++

A must eat dish..."Attack Of The Pirates Ship". This dish consists of a huge home baked bun stuffed with 'deep fried soft shell crabs' (nui kak jim), prawn, sea asparagus and some vege together with creamy seafood sauce around it. Costed only RM9.90++ Highly recommended.

Seafood Cheese Baked Rice. This dish is also worth the money. Much better than the Chicken Wings Set. Costed RM9.50++

Note: Order the food with a red star beside it. It's much better compared to those without it.

NO WAY!!!!!!!!!!! although the food might tasty but the service is totally Sxxx!!!
1st time : seat arrangement not good and the food ordered took very very long time to came after ask for 3- 4 times.
2nd time: i order a set meal. where normally set meal will serve quite fast. normally the 1st thing serve will be drinks & soup. whle waiting for main course, i told them d soup not yet served. then wait for another 5mins. the soup still not serve to me...then i ask another waiter again. then 3rd time. turn out, d soup was serve after my main course.
3rd time: the same as 2nd time. i also ordered a set meal. but this time, all food are out accordingly. i thought they are improving. however, the rice that they served to me was stinky. like overnight rice. sxxx!!!!!!

Not recommended their SET ORDER in HongKie Kopitiam. Order the dishes with a Red Star besides it. The services might be bad when it was crowded but if you really want to enjoy nice food and good service then go during weekdays. I'm sure they won't disappoint you.

Well, it's directly opposite Tesco. You'll see a building called E-Gate. Hongkie Kopitiam is located there. You won't miss it.

I can't find a really yummy cheese baked rice/food at Penang. The hongkie, wong kok and Kim Gary are offer the bad taste which I am very sit bang with. In conclusion, hongkong style restaurants can't cook cheese baked stuffs.

I do admit that I'm a particular one :)
