Simple Vegetarian Pineapple Spaghetti Recipe

An idea pop up when I watched the TVB series "Shine On You". In this series, Ms Wong's son cooked Pineapple Spaghetti for her. It's called( 菠萝意粉) in Cantonese. It gave me an idea to cook Vegetarian Spaghetti.

All San Remo pasta is made from 100% Durum wheat. Durum wheat pasta has an attractive golden appearance and a superior cooking quality.I like thin regular Spaghetti, this delicious pasta has a rich taste of egg.

Tips :
- Add one or two table spoons of salt while boiling.

- Never rinse the pasta once it is drained as this will remove the starch.

First, cut the can pineapples into small cubes. Then fry them with margarine. They will produce a very good smell.

Chop the Vegetable Fish into very tiny pieces.

Fry the "FISH" together with the pineapples and some of the Tomato Puree.

Put a slice of Cheddar Cheese on top of the spaghetti before you serve it with the sauce.

A simple and delicious Vegetarian Pineapple Spaghetti is now ready to serve!

Rambutan + Lychee + Coconut = Pulasan

The pulasan, or poolasan, Nephelium mutabile Blume (family, Sapindaceae), is closely allied to the rambutan and sometimes confused with it. One of its local names in Malaya is rambutan-kafri (negro's rambutan); another is rambutan paroh. In Malacca it is sometimes called pening-pening-ramboetan.There are numerous tribal names for this species throughout Malaysia.

Black colour = Sweet!

This fruits can seldom be seen in market. The pulasan is a little larger than the rambutan, with fewer fruit per panicle, but appearance and eating quality is very similar. The rambutan has soft spines, whereas pulasan is covered with little rubbery studs and a bit of lychee taste.

Thanks to Malaysia Best, I got to know this fruit and had been deeply in love with it! I bought the pulasan above from Batu Lanchang Market. When I went the next day to grab more of the pulasan, they were gone. To those who haven't try before, I think you've miss out something great!

Golden City Famous Chinese Mee Goreng (槟城车水路金城茶餐室 )

Fried Indian Mee (Mee Goreng) are mostly Indian's strength. Opposite the previous Lai Lai Supermarket, one couple(Mr. & Mrs. Teh 郑德福夫妻) started their Mee Goreng business since 13 years back. This famous Chinese Mee Goreng are known by most of middle age people like my father / mother. Most youngsters seldom go for this kind of Traditional Coffee Shop, they will say nothing to eat in this kind of Coffee Shop because of the limited choices. But think twice, if you go to a Food Court offering many varieties but there's nothing good there, I would prefer to choose a quality food rather than quantity.
This couple learned this Special Mee Goreng skill from a famous Mee Goreng Stall in Kedah. The secret is using fresh ingredients, quick boil the noodle before frying and control the timing and fire. Without good skills and experiences, it's certainly hard to cook a delicious Mee Goreng.

Besides Mee Goreng, the Mee Rebus is also not bad. If you dislike yellow noodles , go for it's Fried Bee Hoon. It's as delicious as Mee Goreng.

Home Cook Recipe: Asam Prawn

Fried Asam Prawn is a Nyonya Dish that can be cooked easily at home. It's not spicy at all and is suitable for adults and children. It's also a favourite food for my love one. Sure enough, it's also easy for you to prepare for your love one:)

Just buy some fresh medium prawn from market. Remember not to choose the fed prawns, they tasted very bad. Choose the shell which got some red or green colour. Marinate the prawns with two table spoons of asam paste for at least one hour. The longer you marinate it, the better it tasted.

Fried the prawns one by one using the medium fire.

The tip is to put in some Oyster Sauce.

Put in some sugar to make sure the asam paste's not too sour. Fry till fragrant.

The beautiful and delicious Nyonya Asam Prawn is now ready to serve. Yummm...can smell the aroma of asam from far:) It's best serve with white rice.

Penang Street hawker Food - Cafe 1997

1997 Kopitiam (Paya Terubong)

Nasi Lemak (Rice Cooked In Coconut milk) also known as National Dish of Malaysia. I like this Nasi Lemak very much because of the rich coconut milk taste together with the spicy curry gravy, it's heavenly! But this stall's operation time is a bit odd, it starts at 2pm (already finish my lunch time) to 7pm (dinner time). Usually I can only enjoy this Nasi Lemak during holiday.

RM 5 SharkFin Soup with lots of crab meats. (at night)

Crispy Roti Babi just RM 3 ( same stall as Sharkfin soup)

Chicken Congee (Kai Chok) side order with the Steam Chicken Thigh, its tender enough!

Deep Fried Noodle (Shan Mee)

A not bad Wan Tan Mee!
